Termites break down dead wood, leaf litter and plant material, returning essential nutrients to the soil and promoting healthy forest ecosystems. However, they can cause structural damage in Human environments. Termite damage often goes unnoticed until it’s severe, leading to expensive repairs and treatments.

SIGNS OF A TERMITE INFESTATION:

1. Mud Tubes: Termites build mud tubes to travel between their nests and food sources. These tubes are usually about the width of a pencil and can be found along walls, foundations, and wooden structures.
2. Sawdust or Frass (insect excrement): Termites push out their waste, leaving behind small piles of sawdust-like material near infested wood. This is known as frass and can be found near wooden furniture, beams, or flooring.
3. Cracked or Bubbling Paint: The presence of termites under the surface can cause paint to bubble, crack, or peel, particularly around infested wood.
4. Buckling or Warped Floors: Floors that begin to buckle, warp, or sag can be an indication of termite damage, as they eat the wooden supports underneath.
